Development Manager

Position Overview We are seeking a Development Manager to lead the technical direction, daily operations, and performance of our development and QA teams. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality project delivery, driving innovation, and overseeing complex integrations across our application ecosystem — including our eCommerce platform, ERP, CRM, and iPaaS systems. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of hands-on technical expertise, strategic leadership, and strong project management capabilities to keep initiatives organized, on track, and aligned with business goals. Key Responsibilities · Lead & Inspire – Manage and mentor a team of developers and QA professionals, fostering a collaborative, results-driven culture. · Architect & Oversee – Direct the technical architecture and implementation of complex applications and system integrations. · Ensure Quality Delivery – Oversee timelines, maintain code quality, and optimize system performance. · Organize & Manage Projects – Create clear project plans, define milestones, track progress, and manage dependencies to ensure on-time delivery. · Collaborate Cross-Functionally – Partner with product, operations, and business teams to define requirements, craft solutions, and establish best practices. · Provide Technical Guidance – Conduct code reviews, troubleshoot issues, and guide the team in modern development practices. · Optimize Processes – Drive continuous improvement in development workflows, tools, and methodologies. · Monitor & Report – Maintain clear project documentation, status updates, and reporting for stakeholders. Required Skills & Qualifications · Experience – 10+ years in software development, including 5+ years in a leadership role. · Technical Mastery – Proficiency in PHP, Python, Next.js, Node.js, TypeScript, React, and JavaScript with hands-on coding experience. · Data & API Expertise – Skilled in moving data, building APIs, and managing complex data workflows across applications. · System Integration – Proven experience with iPaaS platforms such as Boomi, Workato, or MuleSoft. · Platform Knowledge – Strong familiarity with NetSuite (ERP), HubSpot (CRM), and Progressive Web Applications (PWAs). · Project Management Skills – Demonstrated ability to organize projects from initiation to completion, including resource allocation, prioritization, and progress tracking using tools like Jira. · Tool Proficiency – Jira for project management, modern IDE assistants like Cursor, and quality tools like SonarQube. · Leadership – Proven ability to manage diverse technical teams across multiple platforms, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability. · Communication – Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications · Experience with Agile methodologies, Jenkins, Git, and CI/CD pipelines. · Familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms. · Experience integrating modern payment systems (e.g., Stripe, Plaid). · Knowledge of automation testing tools such as Selenium or DataDog’s Synthetic Browser Testing suite. · Previous work with CRM/ERP platforms, especially HubSpot and NetSuite.
