In this role you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers) where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.
We're seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to significantly contribute to our DevOps efforts. In this role you'll lead smaller projects guide junior engineers and shape our technical direction in DevOps practices. You will also actively participate in the entire DevOps lifecycle focusing on automating and streamlining software delivery pipelines using modern DevOps tools and methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Design build & maintain scalable secure & efficient cloud-based systems and applications
- Provide expert-level support for DevOps tools & technologies including SRE tools & methods
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs & provide solutions that meet their business objectives
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends & technologies in SRE & DevOps
- Understand and implement security best practices in accordance with DevOps principles.
- Implement Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) processes.
- Proven experience in DevOps practices and CI/CD pipeline development.
- Strong design analytical & problem-solving skills & attention to detail
- Strong understanding of system design scalability & reliability
- Exposure to containerization technologies (e.g. Docker Kubernetes).
- Understanding of cloud platforms (e.g. AWS Azure Google Cloud).
- Excellent knowledge of version control systems (e.g. Git).
- Experience with detecting and resolving security vulnerabilities
- A passion for SRE & DevOps & a desire to learn & grow in this field
- Excellent communication & collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently & with a team

- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g. Prometheus ELK Stack Datadog).
