DevOps Engineer

Alamo Drafthouse is seeking a DevOps Engineer to operate as a vital contributor in the dynamic, fast-paced environment of our combined restaurant and cinema experience. This is an exciting opportunity to play an influential role on the Alamo Drafthouse Technology team and help to transform our digital platform experience. Bringing a security-conscious mindset to everything you do, your role encompasses a broad spectrum of responsibilities, including enhancing CI/CD pipelines, automating operations and services, and contributing to various infrastructural projects. As a member of several cross-functional teams, you will collaborate to build an agile and secure operational framework, keeping abreast of the latest in DevOps methodologies and tools.

Core Role Responsibilities

• Uphold standards of behavior as defined by the company Core Values, Code of Conduct and Operational Guidelines
• Be a key contributor to securing our computing infrastructure while aiding in both existing and evolving infrastructural projects
• Leverage cloud services and leading automation tools to facilitate secure and efficient operations
• Assist in the deployment and fine-tuning of CI/CD pipelines, shorten the systems development life cycle and provide continuous delivery of high-quality software
• Collaborate in agile ceremonies, product ideation and software development planning to heighten security standards without compromising agility
• Develop and maintain detailed documentation, encapsulating security guidelines to aid teams and promote a secure operational flow
• Engage proactively with cross-functional teams to identify and address security concerns, fostering a secure and agile work environment

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of hands-on, professional experience in DevOps environments, including administration of cloud services, security compliance and successful audit, and support of multiple development teams
• 3-5+ years of practical experience in working with or supporting CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure management 
• Experience in scripting and systems automation, demonstrated ability to balance agility and security
• Expertise in the utilization of DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Terraform, Chef, K8s, along with a readiness to deepen your understanding of Scala, SBT, and Maven
• Proactive, growth-oriented mindset, showing readiness to adapt and uphold high security and quality standards in all initiatives
• Commit to occasional on-call duties, being available to address urgent concerns and sustain our security and operational standards.
