Description This role demands extensive hands on experience of working as a DevOps Engineer for a big, business critical application. As a DevOp Engineer, you will be a core team member driving infrastructure related transformation of our application. You will influence the design, scale, and management of cloud infrastructure and application stacks. Responsibilities • Candidate should have strong troubleshooting skills to isolate issues, determine root cause and implement effective and innovative solutions • Candidate should work cross functionally with other teams across Apple, to ensure our infrastructure and services are always accessible • Candidate should develop innovative solutions that go beyond merely checking requirement boxes • Candidate should be self motivated, capable of taking business critical decisions and should be comfortable working in a dynamic, ever changing environment • Candidate should work independently while knowing when to seek assistance to achieve team goals Minimum Qualifications • 5 years of experience in infrastructure engineering • Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS • Hands on expertise in containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes • Hands on experience with Linux systems and scripting in Python, Bash, or similar for automation • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related fields Preferred Qualifications • Experience applying networking concepts in DevOps domain • Experience in GitOps such as ArgoCD • Experience cross-functional initiatives, and to architect, design, and deliver scalable, high-performance software solutions in collaboration with multiple teams • Hands-on experience with service mesh technologies (particularly Istio), Kubernetes Event-driven Autoscaling (KEDA) and tools like Karpenter for dynamic and efficient workload scaling • Proficient in using Git for version control, including experience with branching strategies and collaborative workflows Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $147,400 and $272,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
