Job Description

Master’s degree in Special Education, Educational Diagnostics, Psychology or a related field, active Educational Diagnostician license, and 1+ years Educational Diagnostician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A dynamic K-12 educational setting in Houston, TX is seeking a skilled Educational Diagnostician to join their team on a contracted, full academic year basis. This role plays a critical part in identifying and assessing the unique learning needs of students to support individualized education plans and promote academic success. Key Responsibilities: • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students cognitive, academic, social-emotional, and developmental abilities • Interpret assessment results and provide detailed reports with recommendations for instructional strategies and accommodations • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop and implement appropriate educational programs • Participate in eligibility meetings and contribute expertise on student learning profiles • Monitor student progress and adjust recommendations to ensure effective interventions • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations regarding special education services Qualifications and Experience: • Certification or licensure as an Educational Diagnostician • Proven experience in K-12 educational settings assessing diverse student populations • Strong knowledge of assessment tools and special education laws • Effective communication and collaboration skills with educators, parents, and students • Ability to manage caseload and maintain timely documentation Location: • Houston, Texas, serving students in a K-12 school environment This contract position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on student learning and development throughout the school year.
