Digital Media Archivist

Duties

1. Upload and ingest media into the DAM system
2. Organizing files in server and cloud-based environments
3. Tagging media with metadata
4. Writing basic descriptions of content, as needed
5. Responsible for the quality control of one’s own work for completeness
6. Collaborating with various staff members to gather media and information about media
7. Processing new sets of photos for the Media Library
   
   1. Filtering photos for quality in Adobe Bridge
   2. Adding metadata in Adobe Bridge
   3. Converting file types before upload in Adobe Camera Raw
8. Scanning and digitizing physical photos for the media library
9. Other duties and projects as assigned by supervisor to support department and organizational needs

Qualifications

• Must possess a vibrant personal relationship with Jesus Christ and agree with the Joni and Friends statement of faith
• Desire to serve in a growing and dynamic Christian service ministry
• Some experience with DAM or similar experience with digital file organization
• Familiarity with photo, video, and other media file formats is preferred
• Adobe Bridge and Camera Raw experience is preferred, but not required
• Must be detail oriented, process driven, organized, and comfortable performing repetitive tasks
• Will train on Orange Logic platform
• Understanding of Christian ministry and specifically Joni and Friends is desirable

This position will be located at our Agoura Hills office. It is a temporary position, working 24-40 hours a week (40 is preferred). Hybrid position (M/Tu/Th in the office, and W/F remote). The position will last approximately 8 months beginning in January, 2024. 

Compensation is $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
