About the role

Individual serves as a Subject Matter Expert and hands-on leader in Global Digital Workflow Policy Services.

What you need to know:

The Digital Workflow Policy Services Technical Lead will be responsible for managing one or multiple teams supporting:

• High level solution design handoffs with architecture.
• Development effort and duration estimation.
• Low-level design.
• Dependency identification and management.
• Development speed / pace.
• Development quality and hygiene.
• Resource management (mostly contract resources but may include AIG associates also).
• Testing support.
• Maintenance.
• Level 3 support.

The lead's technical and functional scope includes the full technology stack for the Global Digital Workflow Policy Services (Quote, Book, Bind, Issue, MTA's):

• User interface.
• Integration.
• Java / Spring business service development.
• Related transactional data stores.

The lead must maintain positive constructive partnerships with related:

• Project portfolio owners.
• Project sponsors.
• Product owners.
• Other SCUP Global Capability Tower Leads (Foundation, Submissions, Rating and Forms).
• Horizontal IT partners like architecture, info security, DevOps, data, infrastructure, controls and procurement.
• System integrator partners.
• Project team members.

What we're looking for:

• 15+ years of experience supporting E2E design, development, delivery in the financial services sector with preference given to commercial insurance carriers experience.
• Bachelor's degree in relevant field required.
• Hands on full stack development experience with an emphasis on java applications.
• Working knowledge of cloud computing paradigms, prominent industry design patterns, and agile development methodologies.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally tailoring message to the audience (developers, testers, scrum masters up through CIO's and COO's).
• Successful track record delivering at speed with quality.
