About the role:

Forter’s go-to-market is focused on the largest digital commerce enterprises, and so account-based marketing practices are central to our success. In this role, you will define and build those practices with your team, and through close collaboration with sales and customer success. 

Why Forter?

Digital commerce is a great wave to ride. In 2023, about 20% of all commerce was digital commerce; but by 2024, analysts anticipate 90% of all commerce will be digital commerce. To accelerate, digital commerce must have trust, and so Forter is at the absolute center of this shift.

Fraud prevention and commerce enablement is a winner-takes-most market. The provider with the most data and that knows the most online identities will make more accurate decisions about who to trust. And Forter knows 5x more identities than our nearest competitor.

Marketing gets to work with great ingredients. We have a clear, quantifiable value proposition; we have fanatical, blue-chip customers (with a <1% churn rate); and we have a highly-collaborative and motivated marketing team. 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Define and build. You own the ABM strategy for the Americas. We trust you to establish the right framework and programs to at first engage tens of accounts, with the ability to scale to a wider set of accounts over time. 

  • Partner with sales. The sales team is your most critical stakeholder, and we need you to be in total alignment on target accounts and activities at all times—you and the Americas sales leaders will be in constant communication. 

  • Educate and enable. Account-based marketing practices are not deeply ingrained at Forter; you will be the expert that brings new ideas to our team. And so we need you to educate your fellow marketers and enable salespeople to ensure your efforts are successful. 

  • Set and report on goals. We’re counting on you to set clear goals, then track and report on progress of ABM efforts to senior leadership. You will use data to inform decisions about how to iterate on ABM programs (and that’s because we don’t expect perfection, we seek experimentation). 

  • Lead by example. We expect you to lead by example in customizing experiences—creating landing pages, content paths, direct mail and more for target accounts. You will draw on and influence our in-house creative team based on patterns you identify to create verticalized content, ads, and more to support your efforts. 

  • Lead your team. Lead and develop the team responsible for executing ABM programs in the Americas, sharing your learnings with regional marketing teams in EMEA and APAC. 

What you’ll need/Who you are:

  • Innovator. We recognize that account-based marketing is a bit of a buzzword, and that the discipline is constantly evolving. So, you’re the kind of person that tracks new ideas, experiments with programs, considers how new tools like AI can accelerate your efforts, etc. 

  • Educator. Since ABM means different things to different people, we need you to rally sales & marketing in the Americas around your definition of ABM. You’re motivated to define the plays in our playbook and to ensure the team is on the same page.

  • Player/coach. Forter is a fast-paced, global company. Leaders here roll up their sleeves, provide early / thoughtful direction and clear obstacles for their team members.

  • Proven track record: You’ve successfully managed a high-performing function in revenue marketing, account-based marketing or similar.

  • Global mindset: While you own programs for the Americas, in the back of your head, you’re always thinking about global digital commerce trends and the potential to scale your efforts.

  • Communication & collaboration skills. Consistent with the above responsibilities, we’ll be counting on you to educate / enable salespeople, coordinate across marketing functions, report to senior leadership, lead marketing’s presence at quarterly business reviews and more.

Hybrid work:

At Forter, we have embraced a hybrid work model that combines the benefits of in-office collaboration with the flexibility of remote work. Salary Range: $140,000 - $190,000 annually + bonus + equity + benefits
