THE ROLE: Director, Business Analytics

We’re looking for…

A Director, Business Analytics who, with a combination of strong data exploration, business analytics, marketing analytics and statistical skills, will partner with strategic stakeholders to solve some of the most analytically complex questions and proactively identify business opportunities to ultimately accelerate the growth of the Rue Gilt Groupe!

This role will report to the VP of Business Analytics. 

What You’ll Do:

• Hands-on role leader owning a portfolio of business analytics areas in a highly consultative, data driven, and collaborative culture.
• Lead and grow a team of analysts and serve as a “player-coach” when needed.
• Enable business to make informed decisions through elegant, accurate, and robust analyses.
• Translate complex analytics into concise and easily consumable insights that tell a compelling story to a non-technical audience at all levels.
• Develop measurement frameworks, automate repeatable tasks, and build efficient processes.
• Prioritize, manage, and deliver complex advanced analytical outputs such as forecasting, segmentation, and business cases.
• Build strong stakeholder partnerships and influence decision making with data.

• Master’s degree in mathematics, economics, statistics, or business analytics.
• Extensive experience in data analytics in consumer/retail/marketing/ad-tech.
• Proficient hands-on experience in database querying languages (SQL), Tableau or similar visualization tool, and advanced Excel skills.
• Proficient in statistical hypothesis (A/B) testing.
• Solid knowledge of databases, data warehousing techniques, experience working with technology teams such as engineering, business intelligence, data warehousing and data science for implementing data-analytics solutions.
• Experience managing a team of analysts.
• Prefer prior experience in business consulting.

Expected Base Salary Range: $180,000 - $220,000

Our goal is to support, reward and compensate the entire individual. Depending on role eligibility, your offer may also include bonus/commission, stock options, 401(k) participation, paid time off, medical, dental, vision and basic life insurance. Therefore, final offer amounts may vary from the amount stated.
