Summary:

This talented and dedicated IT leader will be the primary IT partner for the Kyowa Kirin’s Patient Services business area.  Working closely with their business partners, the leader will:
•    Collaborate with key Commercial and Franchise stakeholders to ensure delivery of IT services and capabilities to support Patient Service’s needs.
•    Introduce innovative digital technologies to that better support and enhance patient, caregiver and healthcare provider experience and align with overall digital strategy.
•    Keep aligned with evolution of the Patient Services in industry.
•    Create and enhance Patient Services Digital IT Roadmap to both drive desired business outcomes and improve patient and caregiver support.
•    Collaborate across IT to drive the understanding of technical dependencies, execution priorities for solutions and leverage existing solutions and capabilities, where applicable.

Essential Functions:

•    Lead IT systems supporting Patient Services technologies.
•    Develop and manage overall program and yearly budgets. 
•    Lead team to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and measurements of success.
•    Partner with business leads to establish Patient Services model and ICT strategy to support a best-in-class patient and healthcare provider experience.
•    Provide overall program direction based on strong understanding of competitive environment.
•    Manage all vendors, licensing and support contracts of patient services systems.
•    Provide oversight in the prioritization of patient services system enhancements and maintenance to ensure continuity of customer care.
•    Ensure compliance through coordination with Legal and Compliance teams for any patient services program, future enhancements of patient services and/or new service providers.
•    Work with 3PL and channel partners, support associated data feeds and aggregation processes to ensure continuous quality.
•    Support teams that run day-to-day operations of programs to ensure high quality, compliant performance.
•    Collaborate with business partners within a matrixed organizational structure to develop effective relationships with US Market Access Channel / Customer Strategy teams, Brand Marketing, US Market Access Account Executives and Field Reimbursement teams to ensure coordinated execution of channel strategies and materials creation.
•    Partner with matrixed teams to ensure they have appropriate connection to Patient Services programs, including websites and web-based platforms to support patients and health care provider customers.
•    Establish and maintain relationships with Commercial business partners in Sales, Market Access, Insights & Analytics and Brand Marketing teams.
•    Partner with stakeholder teams to ensure reporting and analytics help drive business goals.

Requirements:

Education
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or equivalent

Experience
At least 10 years of pharma/biotech IT experience with at least 3 years directly supporting Patient Services

Technical Skills
•    Expertise with Patient Services platforms and/or CRM and related components 
•    Experience with Business Intelligence and Reporting tools  (e.g. Power BI, Tableau)
•    Strong understanding of systems development lifecycle change management, governance and Agile development methodologies such as SCRUM, and/or SAFE
•    Understanding of data warehousing, data lake, UX, data management / MDM technologies, analytics and platforms
•    Experience with Office 365, JIRA, Slack, and similar modern collaboration tools
•    Understanding of HIPAA, GDPR, information security, compliance, and privacy requirements for delivering data and analytics projects in the US healthcare industry

Non-Technical Skills
•    Strong knowledge of Patient Services and working knowledge of Market Access and other Commercial business functions, processes and operations within a biopharma environment
•    Proven leadership experience in a business-facing IT lead role; strong collaboration skills
•    Strong understanding of Project Management methodologies
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
•    Strong vendor-management skills 
•    Proficiency using collaboration / office automations tools such as Office 365 or similar
•    Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
•    Ability to work independently and collaboratively among cross-functional, multi-cultural teams
•    Strong negotiation skills
