THE OPPORTUNITY
Involves leveraging resources and staff to accomplish work. A Manager translates broad vision and goals into short and long-range plans. The focus of leadership jobs is primarily on leading others.Â
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Analytical Leadership
- o Manage Analytical quality
- o Identify opportunities to drive quality improvement
- o Identify opportunities to improve and enhance research deliverables and propose to Director of Product Management and MD
- o Identify new deliverables which either better meet existing customer use cases or meet new customer use cases
Operational Leadership

- Manage recruitment
- Work closely with People team to follow recruitment processes
- Leverage networks across the team to identify candidates
- For good candidates who are not a good fit for your position, connect with other recruiting managers to find other possible positions
- Properly screen and select candidates for final interview with MD
- Manage on time delivery
- Create and maintain a formal delivery schedule
- Ensure that client deliverables are completed on time
- Identify opportunities to improve processes to enable better delivery predictability
- Manage team performance
- Manage recruitment

- Manage team performance with specific feedback to further develop their skills
- Work with People team to identify development training and development opportunities
- Look at vacancies as opportunities to optimize group structure

- Develop operational effectiveness metrics to normalize performance management across analyst teams to enable individual performance management and provide the analytical tools to enable proper evaluation of investment cases.

Commercial Leadership

- Drive Retention
- Proactively identify at risk renewals and have team work with sales to mitigate risks
- Proactively meet with customers to ensure that we are providing content and deliverables which help them complete their use cases
- Ensure that tracking is up to date (weekly) so that Market Analysis Leadership can stay abreast of progress
- Drive Growth through New Business
- Target specific SAM opportunities and new logos and mobilize team to work proactively with sales
- Identify opportunities for cross-selling based on existing services sold.
- Work with Product Marketing to ensure that the right content is given high visibility
- Communicate key value statements to product marketing to proper message prospects
- Drive Growth through New Products
- Identify new products or offers to develop and work with Product organization to develop.
- This includes building a business case which outlines both the opportunity and cost

- Identify and drive efforts with sales to monetize these new products and offers
- Identify and drive initiatives to drive Active Users

- Has primary accountability for the performance and results of a plant, significant area, or sub-function.

- Provides leadership and direction through Managers and Sr. Managers.
- Executes functional business plans and may provide input to the development of functional strategy.
- Has full leadership, performance management and people development responsibility for managers or high-level individual contributors.
- Ensures corporate image is demonstrated in area of responsibility.
- Guided by functional strategy, impacts results of sub-function, business unit or region or facilitates the work done by other functions by providing support to impact the business.
- Executes functional business plans and contributes to the development of functional strategy.
- Leads a sub-function, typically through subordinate managers of managers; (minimum 3 direct reports).
- Has full leadership, performance management and people development responsibility for managers or high-level individual contributors.
- Requires comprehensive understanding of internal and industry standards, as well as of the changing business environment.
- Directs the resolution of highly complex or unusual business problems applying advanced analytical thought and judgement.
- Decision making involves complex problems that require extensive research, analysis, and evaluation of multiple variables.
- Applies broad industry expertise and commercial awareness to drive financial and operational performance across sub-functions.
- Negotiates with and influences others internally and externally; including senior executives within the company and vendors/or regulators.
