Job Title: Data -Director of Data and Analytics Position Overview: Reporting to the CTO the Director of Data and Analytics is to be a highly skilled and visionary Data Lead / Scientist to architect and drive our enterprise-wide data standardization, management, and compliance strategy. This role will be responsible for establishing robust data governance practices, enforcing analytical rigor, and ensuring continuous compliance across all data assets. The ideal candidate is a hands-on data expert with a passion for building scalable data ecosystems and a strong sense of ownership. Key Responsibilities: • Strategy & Governance : • Design and implement a comprehensive data standardization and management framework. • Define and enforce data governance policies, including data quality, lineage, and stewardship protocols. • Lead the development of a continuous compliance monitoring system to ensure adherence to internal and external data standards. • Ensure confidence in data control and mastery on a current and continuous basis. • Data Architecture & Control: • Collaborate with engineering and business teams to define data models, taxonomies, and metadata standards. • Establish and maintain a centralized data catalog and dictionary. • Oversee the integration of data sources into a unified, governed platform. • Implement robust data validation and reconciliation processes to ensure data accuracy and consistency. • Analysis & Insights : • Develop and maintain advanced analytics pipelines to support business intelligence and operational reporting. • Apply statistical and machine learning techniques to uncover insights and drive data-driven decision-making. • Partner with business stakeholders (e.g., finance, sales, marketing, operations) to translate analytical findings into actionable strategies. • Continuously monitor and improve data quality and integrity. • Leadership & Enablement: • Serve as the subject matter expert and “data guru” across the organization. • Mentor and guide analysts, engineers, and business users on best practices in data usage and compliance. • Lead cross-functional initiatives to embed data literacy and accountability into the organizational culture. • Foster a culture of data excellence and continuous improvement. Qualifications and Skills: • Experience: • 7+ years of progressive experience in data management, business intelligence, or data analytics roles, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership capacity, ideally with experience building a data function from scratch or significantly scaling one. • Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise data strategies, with a strong focus on building scalable and efficient data platforms. • Proven experience working effectively with external third parties, including data vendors, analytics providers, and consultants • Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Azure, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure Synapse Analytics, to architect and manage cloud-based data solutions. • Experience in designing and developing data platforms to support AI and machine learning use cases, ensuring seamless integration with AI frameworks and tools. • Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau. • Familiarity with data governance tools and frameworks, with a proven ability to ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards. • Experience in leading data-related activities throughout the M&A lifecycle, including due diligence, integration planning, data migration, and post-merger data governance. • Education: • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field. • Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure, Power BI Data Analyst, AI Engineer, CAP, TOGAF, Scrum Master desirable • Competencies: • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into actionable insights for diverse audiences. • Collaboration & Influence – Builds strong relationships across departments and with external partners to drive outcomes. • Demonstrated ability to lead through influence and drive change across diverse teams. • Passion for building a data-first culture and enabling others through knowledge sharing. • Familiarity with multi-site home services businesses or similar is a plus Salary:$145,000 to $175,000 plus potential bonus incentive Career Benefits: Opportunity to be part of a Goldman Sachs Private Equity portfolio company that is a national leader in home services.
