Role

• Provide strategic leadership and creative direction for the game design team, aligning their efforts with the company's vision and product roadmap
• Oversee the entire game design process, from concept to completion, ensuring the delivery of high-quality and engaging free-to-play mobile games
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to conceptualize, prototype, and iterate on game designs that deliver outstanding player experiences
• Effectively communicate design concepts and rationale to stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally
• Establish and maintain best practices for game design processes, documentation, and knowledge-sharing across the organization
• Conduct playtests, analyze player data, behavioral metrics, and feedback to identify areas for improvement and drive data-informed design decisions
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and gameplay innovations to ensure our products remain competitive and cutting-edge
• Mentor and coach game designers, fostering their professional growth and nurturing a culture of creativity and experimentation
• Participate in the recruitment and hiring of top game design talent

Must Have

• 10+ years of experience in game design, with 3+ years in a leadership role
• Proven track record of delivering highly engaging free-to-play mobile game experiences
• Excellent understanding of game design principles, mechanics, game economy, and systems, with a focus on free-to-play and live operations models
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and collaboration skills, with the ability to inspire and align cross-functional teams
• Passion for gaming and a deep understanding of player motivations and engagement strategies

Good to Have

• Experience with game development tools (such as Unity3D, Unreal Engine, etc.)
• Passion for cricket and a deep understanding of the sport's cultural significance and fan base
• Proficiency with spreadsheet software (e.g., Microsoft Excel) and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Lua) 
• Proficiency with data analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Google Analytics)
• A strong understanding of the mobile gaming industry in India
