Director of IT LaSalle Network is partnering with a confidential client to find a hands-on, strategic Director of IT who's ready to lead real change.This is more than a technical leadership role-it's an opportunity to redefine what IT means inside a mid-sized, transformation-focused organization. Based inChicago, this position ison-site four days a weekand offers the chance to guide a full tech rebuild from the inside out. If you're tired of just keeping the lights on and ready to help architect the next three years of growth-from infrastructure and ERP optimization to data governance and AI-readiness-this role is for you. Director of IT Responsibilities: • Serve as a strategic business partner to senior leadership, not just a technical executor • Assess and restructure a small, remote team-retaining top talent, replacing as needed • Evaluate current outsourced MSP performance and cost-effectiveness • Oversee infrastructure rebuilds, cloud transformation, and ERP optimization • Build and implement data governance strategies to support future analytics and AI initiatives • Develop and execute a 3-year technology roadmap across ERP, infrastructure, and analytics • Lead onsite IT operations in Chicago (4 days/week) while aligning global team efforts Director of IT Requirements: • 10+ years of progressive IT leadership, with hands-on experience in infrastructure and ERP (Oracle a major plus) • Proven track record of leading in-house teams and managing vendor relationships • Strong communication skills, both upward to executives and laterally to peers • Comfortable assessing and optimizing outsourced support functions • Strategic thinker who can dig into the details but always keeps the big picture in mind • Experience working with cloud platforms (Oracle Cloud, Azure) • Familiarity with data governance, security best practices, and scalable IT frameworks • Appetite for transformation, change, and team-building from the ground up Ready to step into a pivotal role with long-term VP potential?
