Job Description

Director of Operations

The DOO shall have the primary responsibility of leading the day-to-day operations of Amstability LLC in accordance with the strategic plan and operating budget. The DOO plays a key role in accomplishing Amstability business priorities and revenue targets in accordance with the business objectives. This position requires day-to-day management of Amstability employees, operational programs and processes, communication with key stakeholders and clients, and the management of Amstability’s business strategy and performance.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of Amstability.
  •  Conduct travel to provide oversight on contract execution (CONUS and OCONUS).
  •  Develop, in collaboration with the President, an annual operating plan that supports Amstability’s long-term operations strategy.
  • Assist Amstability’s President in developing and managing Amstability’s ability to achieve and maintain a successful competitive market position within the North and South America market.
  • With respect to operational matters, ensure communications, resolution of issues and project development.
  •  Foster a corporate culture that promotes ethical practices, customer focus and service and encourages individual integrity.
  • Maintain a positive and ethical work climate that is conducive to attracting, retaining, and motivating a diverse group of top-quality employees at all levels.
  • Assess and manage the principal risks of Amstability’s business within operations (proposals, projects and staffing);
  • Develops strategies meant to assist the business in meeting its critical goals and objectives in the most efficient manner possible. Approves and allocates resources based on business priorities. Evaluates and recommends changes to policies or procedures. 
  • Perform other functions related to the office of DOO or as may be requested by the President. 

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Swift evaluation and cyclical incident updates.
  • Effective communications and strategic decision-making ability.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of government contracting operational principles, procedures, and best practices.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or another industry-related field required; MBA preferred.
  • At least 10 years of industry-related experience, including five years in upper management required.
