Smartly.io’s Global Partnerships Team is responsible for growing our strategic partnerships with platforms and integrated partners. As a part of Smartly.io’s journey becoming a multi-platform player, we need to nurture and improve our relationship with platform partners like Meta, Snap, Pinterest, Twitter, Google & TikTok in order to drive new business, retain & grow existing customers, improve our product-market fit and deliver cross-functional solutions. 

As a Director of Platform Partnerships you will report to the VP of Platform Partnerships and work closely with the regional GTM teams, product management teams, marketing teams, and multiple other functions across the company to strengthen Smartly.io’s position globally. The successful candidate will combine strategic thinking with creativity to execute on high-impact programs. You will play a key role in developing growth strategies and executing strategic projects with Google. You’ll be at the forefront of the fast-paced digital marketing industry, allowing you to continue to learn & develop at speed whilst also growing and nurturing your own annual target, managing exec-level relationships and scaling the operations of an ambitious growth company.

Day-to-day responsibilities include being the strategic lead on all Growth Platforms  initiatives, executing partner joint business plans, and growing Smartly.io’s footprint across the respective product, marketing, and sales teams at the Growth Platforms.

As a Director of Platform Partnerships at Smartly.io you will…
  • Define and execute a business development strategy that leverages Smartly.io’s core ads products to deliver value to the respective partners ecosystem
  • Work with product and tech teams to prioritize platform-specific feature roll-outs, creating the business case and working with partners to maximize impact
  • Build data-driven, scenario-based models to evaluate business impact of strategic and business development initiatives (e.g., platform expansions, co-marketing, etc.)
  • Manage and grow credible senior relationships at and across Google to scale new business initiatives that drive future growth, expansion, and profitability
  • Develop product integration strategies, lead cross-functional programs, and be responsible for wide-scale adoption of Smartly across the Growth Platforms
  • Play a key role in moving the company strategy forward with our Platforms via an fluent understanding of other Smartly.io  teams' connected strategies and goals
  • Pursue new and creative ways to expand Smartly market share, identify new partnership opportunities, and capitalize on emerging trends across the Growth Platforms
  • Act as Smartly’s main POC for all Growth Platform partner programs and initiatives
  • Be relied on for independent strategic decisions and input
We are looking for you if you have…
  • 10+ years of experience managing partnerships and/or business development efforts 
  • Previous experience of working with or at one of the social platforms 
  • Demonstrated success negotiating enterprise-level business terms with partners
  • A strong sense of urgency around delivering on team and individual projects. 
  • Excellent communication, storytelling, and presentation skills with the ability to build materials and present findings effectively at the executive management level
  • Successful track record in identifying, engaging and executing innovative integrations 
  • A demonstrated ability to evangelize and influence across all levels of an organization
  • Owned outright or significantly contributed to a large P&L in a growth business
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, MBA preferred

The base pay range for this position is as mentioned below per year, plus annual bonus. We take into consideration an individual’s background, expertise, and experience in determining final salary. In addition to annual salary, Smartly.io’s total rewards provide employees with stock options, medical/dental/vision insurance, retirement savings benefits, parental leave, 5 weeks vacation, unlimited sick days, life insurance and disability benefits.
