Freenome is a high-growth biotech company on a mission since 2014 to create tools that empower everyone to prevent, detect, and treat their disease.Ā To achieve this mission, Freenome is developing next-generation blood tests to detect cancer in its earliest, most treatable stages using our multiomics platform and machine learning techniques. Our first blood test will detect early-stage colorectal cancer and advanced adenomas.
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced people leader and culture ambassador to manage our systems, process, and operations to prepare for SOX compliance and pre-IPO efforts.Ā In this role, you would be responsible for creating, managing, and driving people operations, analytics, and systems. This role is vital to enabling both the People Team and the company to scale by way of establishing key infrastructure including; process, policy, analytics, and metrics.Ā
Your contribution:
- Create and execute our people operations strategy with measurable goals to drive scalable systems, practices, policies, processes, and employee engagement
 - Evaluate and understand business needs, scoping data requests, synthesizing insights, and recommending solutions to key business partners in collaboration with other members of the People team
 - Lead various aspects of People Operations (Analytics, workplace operations, Immigration), finding ways to scale our operating models and perform our work more effectively
 - Manage excellence of People Operations through accuracy, efficiency, and clarity
 - Define the strategy for our People Operations functions over time, looking for ways to innovate and drive positive impact in line with our culture and values
 - Oversee and manage all the People processes for efficiency while scaling in a fast growth environment and alignment with SOX compliance
 - Support effective People change management across the organization through clear communications and processesĀ
 - Oversee the design, development, and integration of smart, scalable programs, policies, systems, and procedures supporting the employee lifecycle and focused on affecting organizational change while ensuring legal and regulatory compliance
 - Create employee policies and compliance practices to support the best interest of the company as well as the well being of our valuable employees
 - Continually evolve Freenomeās employee onboarding (and off-boarding) experience in a way that embodies our unique culture and ensures each new team member is set up for success
 - Build and lead the team responsible for operationally delivering an exceptional employee experience- resolving inquiries, processing transactions, improving processes and delivering data
 - Analyze people metrics to monitor and proactively manage people related objectives and results.Ā
 - Develop our people analytics and metrics, in order to define actionable KPIs and derive quality insights as we continue to scale
 - Draw on and create new quantitative (employee surveys, people analytics) and qualitative (roundtables, exit interviews) insights to shape and strengthen our priorities
 - Champion and evangelize a culture and mentality of operational excellence
 - Partner as an internal consultant to People Programs, HRBPs, Finance, and Talent on cross-functional initiatives and projects
 - Measure progress to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of processes including use of audits and dashboards
 - Ensures HR policy and compliance program expectations are set and met through centralization of policy project management

Focus Areas:
- Compliance ā Policy management, Immigration, LOA, State EE compliance
 - Coordinate with Sr. Manager of HRIS to enhance usability and productivity, introduce new technologies that drive employee productivity, data integrity, etc.
 - Operational aspects of On-Boarding logistics
 - Compliance requirements to ensure all employees are up to date on Code of Conduct training, Harassment training, etc.

Your background, perspective and experience:Ā
- Minimum of 12+ years of experience in people operations at a biotech or tech company, including a minimum of 4+ years in a leadership role
 - Experience building and driving innovative People operations including leading new initiatives to create an amazing employee lifecycle
 - Proven track record of scaling People systems to support the capability of the organization in a fast paced, continuously evolving environmentĀ
 - Service oriented with excellent interpersonal skillsĀ
 - Strong presentation skills and communications with proven ability to positively influence outcomesĀ
 - Project management experience rolling out organization wide processes and systems
 - Experience establishing key business metrics and defining strategies for improvement and managementĀ
 - Resilient in an ever changing environment and comfortable taking ownership
 - Strong analytic skills and data driven mindset
 - Bachelor's degree required
