The team

Kraken’s Consumer BU focuses on building applications for the mass market aiming to onboard the next 100 million people to the benefits of crypto.  Our newly created Moonshots team will be responsible for developing pioneering applications and experiences that push boundaries in driving user growth and engagement.  Utilizing a heavy test-and-learn approach and with a degen mindset the successful candidate will bring a suite of ambitious ideas to life for our users across multiple verticals.

The opportunity

• Own the entire lifecycle for Kraken’s new Moonshot efforts focusing on creating rapid viral products that disrupt the market. Define and champion the product strategy vision and execution to inspire a new generation of 'degen' crypto apps.

• Rapidly ideate develop and launch multiple small-scale experimental apps leveraging Kraken’s existing infrastructure and platform capabilities. This role will call for a unique balance between product management rigor and bold creative experimentation.

• Track user response app performance and social trends to identify which products are gaining traction. Use data-driven insights and agile experimentation to iterate and focus resources on apps with viral potential.

• Communicate cross-functionally and build trusting and influential partnerships with cross-functional (Product Engineering Operations Marketing UX UXR Data and others) leaders across the company. Be an advocate for the Product Group.

• Keep a pulse on crypto Web3 gaming and social media trends to ensure that Moonshots is always a step ahead.

• Act as the backup to the Product GM for the Consumer Business Unit

Skills you should HODL

• Minimum of 10 years of product management experience with proven success in high-risk high-growth or innovative environments.

• Demonstrated experience in conceptualizing and launching consumer-facing products with viral potential. A background in gaming social media and crypto products is a big plus.

• Proven ability to operate like a founder balancing creativity with resourcefulness. Comfortable with ambiguity and fast iterative cycles quickly adapting strategies based on what’s gaining traction.

• A pulse on emerging tech pop culture and crypto trends. Ability to identify new ideas that resonate with the 'degen' mindset.

• Demonstrated experience in leading the development and execution of strategies for both early-stage (0 → 1) and scalable (1M+ users) products.

• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with experience managing diverse teams.

• Advanced understanding of product management principles and best practices in agile and experimental environments.
