All about the role: 

In this role you will be reporting to the Plant Manager for Electrolux Major Appliances NA. You will be based in Anderson, SC and this role is onsite.  The Quality Director is responsible to maintain/develop/implement a sustainable quality plan that ensures compliance to company standards and continuously improve consumer satisfaction, quality of purchased parts, quality of finish goods and sub-assemblies, process capability, product reliability and life testing, costs reductions. Leads with example and nurtures a work environment to allows team members to grow, timely delivers on commitments.

What you’ll do:  

• Understanding customer needs and requirements to maintain/improve effective measures and controls on purchased parts, producing processes, laboratory testing, new product introduction
• Define/review product specifications for stakeholder processes and products and monitors their compliance
• Coordinates and supervise activities required to meet or exceed company quality standards at supply base, production lines, service and delivery
• Deep understanding of managerial duties and acts to increase consumer satisfaction, improved quality performance and productivity, product durability
• Implements and maintains a quality assurance system to meet company standards.
• Budget quality group headcount and expenses
• Takes active part of cost reduction and waste reduction initiatives
• Engages with supplier organizations to promote continuous improvement and company values
• Leads and cross functional collaboration to report and improve quality performance, tactical day to day meetings and activities

Qualifications Required:  

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering (mechanical/industrial/electrical)
• 7+ years of experience in management of quality organizations
• Strong working knowledge of the Quality Systems
• High Volume fast-paced production manufacturing experience
• Experience in Consumer Satisfaction, APQP/PPAP, PFMEA, Stack up tolerance, SPC, Global 8D, 5Y, 5S, Project management, budgeting, MRP, Supplier Quality and Supplier relations, transit testing, product life testing, new product introduction, team building and coaching
