Job Summary:

The Director, Quality Control establishes, develops, implements, executes and manages quality control systems designed to ensure continuous high quality products are made available to iHerb customers. Develops policies, procedures and methods to evaluate and improve the quality of products, materials, components andor operations | Develops, assures and maintains the quality of products and processes, including standard procedures (e.g., ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14000 family of standards), quality auditsreview, Taguchi methods, process reengineering, etc.


Job Expectations:

  • Ensure compliance to cGMP
  • Ensure proper execution of product recalls
  • Oversee/manage Regulatory FDA inspections
  • Ensure a high level of internal and external customer service. Investigate (and correct) customer issues and complaints relating to quality
  • Supervise workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure high productivity and high technical integrity
  • Develop and analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and to establish quality and reliability expectancy of finished products
  • Provide technical and statistical expertise to teams
  • Formulate, document and maintain quality control standards and on-going quality control objectives
  • Coordinate objectives with production procedures in cooperation with other plant managers to maximize product reliability and minimize costs
  • Create, document and implement inspection criteria and procedures
  • Interpret quality control philosophy to key personnel within Company
  • Provide, and oversee, inspection activity for customer orders
  • Apply total quality management tools and approaches to analytical and reporting processes
  • Interact with vendors to ensure quality of all purchased products
  • Create and direct environmental test functions and applications
  • Design, develop and implement quality control training programs
  • Review and “Pre-Approve to Ship” All House Brands Incoming Raw Material COA’s for House BrandsControlled Products
  • Review and “Pre-Approve to Ship” All House Brands & Private Label (PL) DBA’s Finished Goods
  • Receive All House Brands & PL DBA’s Finished Goods (Per SOP)
  • Work with Third Party Labs and Testing Facilities to Ensure Quality of All House Brands & PL DBA’s Finished Goods
  • Release All House Brands & PL DBA’s Finished Goods for Sale
  • Maintain/Retain All Necessary Finished Goods Samples and Documentation
  • Assist with Label Review Process
  • Monitor and Approve for Receipt All House Brands & PL DBA’s Inbound Products
  • Monitor, Designate and Approve for Fulfillment of Orders, All House Brands & PL

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Required:

  • Supervisory/management experience
  • Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing techniques
  • Experience with developing/documenting procedures.
  • Use of Quality Engineering methods in inspection
  • Computer proficiency
  • Quality orientation and high attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience working with high performance teams
  • Problem analysis and problem resolution skills

Equipment Knowledge:

  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and the use of formulas preferred
  • Experience with Google Business Suite (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Forms) preferred

Experience Requirements:

Generally requires a minimum of seven (7) years related experience with three to four years of supervisory experience required. Must be experienced in cGMP compliance.


Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent experience required

The anticipated pay scale for this position can be found below, however the pay range applicable to you may vary by geographic location based on where the job is located or where you work.  The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, the type of years and experience within the industry, education, etc.  iHerb, LLC is a multi-state employer and this pay scale may not reflect positions that work in other states or locations.

Hired applicant may be awarded Restrict Stock Units and receive annual bonuses pursuant to eligibility and performance criteria defined in the respective plan documents and policies.

$162,000—$221,169 USD
