JOB SUMMARY

The Director of Retail Risk Management reports to the Vice President, Retail Operations and is responsible for implementing programs and trainings and leading a team to support business continuity, emergency response, disaster recovery and loss protection across the retail fleet.  The Director will need to establish and maintain impactful relationships with Regional Leadership, Compliance, Human Resources, security vendors, and law enforcement agencies. The successful candidate will require agility, strong attention to detail, project management and analytical skills to be successful.

CORE JOB DUTIES 

  • Routinely reports on and tracks Recovery Plans
  • Foster awareness of and adherence to process expectation.
  • Understand and communicate project level risks to internal stakeholders.
  • Assists with Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery (BC/DR) incidents/events including activation of BC/DR Plans, recovery efforts, employee updates and communications and return to business as usual.
  • Assists Stores and Departments with documentation of business impacts and maintenance of business continuity plans.
  • Assists with the annual BC/DR testing and “table-top” exercises that simulate potential BC/DR scenarios.
  • Assists with reviews of 3rd party vendors for BC/DR capabilities.
  • Assists with the enterprise-wide Business Impact Analysis that determines business processes, potential impacts, legal/regulatory obligations, and recovery times.
  • Performs risk assessments based on threat impacts.
  • Assists in maintaining Disaster Recovery Plans
  • Log Disaster Recovery tests and events
  • Assist in providing management a report of Disaster Recovery tests.
  • Disseminates mass notifications to individuals and groups during emergencies.
  • Analyzes data to identify trends of realized losses (shrink) due to internal/external theft and works with leadership to investigate and plan to course correct.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS  

  • 10+ years Risk Management / Loss Prevention / Emergency Preparedness & Response experience, preferably in a high-growth or fast-paced retail or hospitality environment with multiple site responsibilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, risk management or curriculum relevant to the role
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze root cause, implement solutions and return results in asset protection / reduction of shrink.
  • Available to work all hours of operation inclusive of nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite with strong Excel skills.
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to learn, apply and teach others technical and investigatory skills in a professional consultative manner.
  • Certification(s) in interviewing techniques preferred.
  • Experience with various loss prevention analytics reporting systems; ideally from inception to daily use.
  • Strong business acumen including data management, attention to detail, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A high level of integrity, personal motivation, adaptability, and sense of urgency.
  • Periodic travel to for trainings, business meetings and events.

COMPENSATION 

In accordance with any local and state compensation laws, the estimated range of compensation is $120,000 - $130,000 [+ bonus eligible]. Final offer details and future compensation may be determined by multiple factors including but not limited to, geographic location, market compensation data, skills, experience and other relevant factors.
