The Role:

We are looking for a talented, hands-on User Experience leader who is passionate about technology and about building high performing teams that empower our users to solve mission-critical business problems through intuitive, powerful user interfaces. You will have the chance to define the Imply experience, leading a UX team who works on projects impacting thousands of companies and people, making it easier for them to make insightful data-based decisions.

Responsibilities:

• Deeply understand our users and our product
• Leading the overall user experience - interaction design, visual design, and user research - for all Imply products 
• Building out the UX team and managing the ongoing projects, ensuring timelines are communicated and work is aligned to the product roadmap
• Developing hiring plans and managing staffing, prioritization, and timelines across multiple projects and teams
• Defining design guidelines, systems, processes and best practices that ensures quality, consistency and scalability of the product
• Ensuring continuous learning from our diverse set of personas including data engineers, curators, analysts and business users to deliver powerful yet simple experiences that meet the needs of each
• Championing user centered design practices and communicating the needs of customers and users throughout the organization
• Working closely with your engineering and product management counterparts to create a collaborative and productive design culture
• Upleveling the team by reviewing their designs and providing feedback and guidance

Requirements:

• 5+ years experience leading UX teams, with a strong portfolio of real world projects and a strong track record of cross-functional collaboration
• A solid understanding of design methodologies and practices such as user-centered design, interaction design, and information architecture with strong competencies across multiple areas
• Experience developing hiring and staffing plans
• Experience leading and/or conducting user research with the ability to clearly synthesize actionable results 
• Experience creating and maintaining design systems
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant design field, or equivalent professional work experience
• Experience with data visualization tools, data platforms, or enterprise B2B applications is a plus
• A history of open-source contributions is a plus

Individual compensation will be determined based on the candidate's experience and qualifications aligned with Imply’s internal levelings guidelines and benchmarks. The below range encompasses roles with on target earnings. This role is also eligible to participate in Imply’s equity plan subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies.

Compensation: $204,000 - $330,000
