Designs and develops systems solutions that provide efficient communication and automated input of Distribution/Traffic/Shipping/Delivery Expense data with high levels of accuracy of such data, and extensive reporting to Corporate.

Functions as a liaison between Distribution and other departments in matters pertaining to systems. Provides ad hoc analytical support, ongoing system testing as systems evolve to accommodate new fulfillment functionality and conducts user training and documentation for such systems.

• Design and develop software solutions for Distribution, Traffic, Shipping, B2B, and other departments as needed.

• Work with I.T. and user group partners to design, develop, and implement solutions.

• Develop regular and ad hoc reporting using Visual Basic, MSAccess, and SQL.

• Gather information about reporting needs and database requirements by following the operational workflow of a group. Determines how various department functions support and impact other areas, or can be used to support other areas

• Coordinate with the Test group to script scenarios for testing and execute test plans.

• Produce training and systems documentation, Facilitate user training for Distribution systems.

• Provide system support through the help desk for Distribution

• Requires exceptional written and verbal communication skills to interact with various departments, and to explain complicated systems issues to user groups.

• Must be able to read and understand technical reference material for MS Office applications, external carrier system requirements, and software application reference manuals.

• Provide ongoing support for Distribution databases and Web solutions, e.g. Invoice Payment Database, Shipping Report, SelectInterface, ShipOrder, Traffic Reports, Ticket Action, Vendor Dropship, ThirdParty Fulfillment, LotShip/MasterPack B2B, International PLD, etc.

• Levels of communication within the company: generally, from hourly to Director level

• Requires communication outside of the company with technical support.

Requirements

Education - Minimum BA degree; or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. PC skills with proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications - Word, Excel, and Access. SQL, and Visual Basic. Visual Studio experience is a plus.
