Fidia Pharma US is looking for a dynamic District Sales Manager to work for one of the fast-growing medical device companies. Responsible for building the business within a given geographical territory targeting physicians, hospitals, VA and ambulatory care centers/private clinics, corporate-owned clinics, and specialty pharmacies in the Orthopedic, Rheumatology, and Sports Medicine community by performing the following duties. Qualifications · Partner with the Medical Director, US Joint Care Sales & Marketing to develop and oversee business strategy, implement objectives, create compensation plans, and conduct other programs to drive efficient and profitable sales of the joint care product line. · Develop annual, quarterly, and monthly sales goals by region, key account, and market segment, analyze sales data to evaluate results achieved, and initiate appropriate recognition and corrective actions to ensure achievement of sales targets. · Effectively manage company resources by selecting regional trade shows and functions that will maintain necessary account contacts and promote business; approve regional trade show arrangements, expenditures, and sales staff attendance. · Proactively attract, develop, and retain talent to meet current and future business needs. · Effectively manage team and individual performance challenges through channels. · Must have experience leading and coaching a field sales team · Ideal candidates develop and direct business plans within the U.S. that are consistent with the division’s annual goals and strategies, are accountable for the assigned regional sales financial goals, and develop market share potential and competitive advantage. · Minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales/sales management or related role in a business-to-business industry (preferably Joint Care); · Proven experience in Joint Care sales leadership is essential. · Dynamic, aggressive, results-oriented leadership with a “hands-on” management style, adaptable to a fast-paced, high-growth, changing environment. · Good business sense – an understanding of how marketing ties into the profitability of a company · Previous P&L exposure or accountability is important. · Finance and budget oversight skills. · Strong written and oral communication skills. · Proficient computer skills (CRM system, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint,) Responsibilities · The District Sales Manager of Joint Care is primarily responsible for achieving sales goals and marketing objectives for all assigned products while operating within policies/procedures and assigned expense budgets. · Coordinate the direct and indirect sales forces' efforts to facilitate good communication within the team. · Meets and/or exceeds overall sales goals and quotas as assigned by Fidia. · Develops and directs the Sales process to support the management team; provides overall direction for staffing and development of key resources to ensure effective human resource allocation; evaluates Distributors’ and sales representatives’ performances against sales objectives. · Responsible for attracting, hiring, developing, and retaining sales talent within the territory. · Develop the business plan for the assigned products to meet or exceed area financial sales and marketing objectives. · Creates and manages intelligence gathering capability for the area marketplace to ensure that objectives are met. · Directs tactical implementation of a business plan to meet objectives. · Participates in strategic planning and sales forecasting. · Provides market insights, trends, competitive activity, and conditions. · Recommends changes to strategic and tactical sales plans. · Analyzes and reports changing needs within the sales organization for training, sales programs, and field assets. · Directs the interface between assigned products and marketing strategies, ensures customer expectations are exceeded, and develops a business plan that fits the continually changing marketplace. · Manages interface between area, business team, alternate channels, and home office functions to implement the business plan effectively. · Prepares, administers, and controls expense budgets as part of overall profits. · Manages assets of disposable samples and capital demos to ensure adequate distribution of product types and quantities to support sales efforts throughout the sales organization. · Maximizes use of total resources for area information technology support materials and programs to meet or exceed the strategy. · Interfaces with key customers in a professional partnership · Participates with other Fidia functions as part of key customer teams. · Provides the organization with reporting as required, covering business issues, performance results, research and development ideas, product performance, reliability, and customer service issues. · Coach, develop, and ensure focus and alignment with functional and company goals. · Performs talent management and assessment requirements for the team. Requirement · A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field from an accredited college or university; a master’s degree is preferred. · ~5+ years’ experience in Joint Care sales and at least ~5+ years of experience in sales management; experience in Joint Care is preferred. · Must be willing to perform at least 50% overnight travel. · Must live in and maintain residence in covered geography for the duration of time in the role. · Must hold a valid driver’s license and clean driving record. · Must be able to obtain and maintain required credentials to perform jobs that include COVID-19 vaccinations. · The District Sales Manager of Joint Care will report to the National Sales Director.
