DMZ Architect

Job Title:Network Architect Duration:Full-time (FTE) Location:Dallas, Jersey City, Atlanta, Jacksonville, or Phoenix (Hybrid Onsite) Required Pay Scale:$165k - $190k Due to client requirements this role is only open to USC or GC candidates Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Network Architect to join the team and play a key role in building the next generation DMZ environment for a Fortune 500 Financial Services Company. This individual will take a legacy DMZ infrastructure and architect a modern, scalable, and secure solution leveraging cutting-edge network technologies, with a strong focus on Arista Fabric and cloud integration. Project Details: • Ongoing need to design and build a state-of-the-art DMZ environment. • Current phase: Legacy DMZ migration and modernization initiative. • Tech stack: Arista Fabric, Cisco routing & switching, Cisco Nexus, ASA/Firepower, Fortinet, F5, Arbor/Prolexic, Akamai, SDN, MPLS, and multiple security/networking protocols. • Responsibilities: Architecture and implementation of next-gen DMZ; integrating with major cloud providers (Azure, AWS, GCP); driving design and strategy for enterprise-scale networking solutions.Must Haves: • 10+ years of network engineering/architecture with a focus on DMZ environments. • Hands-on experience with Arista Fabric (required). • Strong Cisco routing and switching skills, including Cisco Nexus. • Cloud integration experience (Azure, AWS, or GCP). • Proficiency across security/networking technologies such as Firepower/ASA, Fortinet, TCP/IP, SDN, OSPF, BGP, VLAN, IPSEC, ISAKMP, PKI, QoS, trunking/port channeling, VRRP, FHRP, MPLS, VDC, VPC. • Experience with DDoS mitigation tools (Arbor, Prolexic, Akamai) and F5 load balancing. • Background working in enterprise-scale environments.Desired Skills: • Programming knowledge (scripting or automation).About Matlen Silver Experience Matters.
