Job Title:Down Stream Operator II (Case Packer Operator) Reports To:Operations Manager Revision:September 2014 Position Details Ensure proper operation of case packer while monitoring product quality and productivity with minimum downtime. Education and Experience Requirements High school or GED, entry level Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities 1.Ability to climb, stoop, bend on a continuous basis. 2. Ability to lift 35 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. occasionally. 3. Visual acuity and verbal communications skills. 4 Self-motivated, good work ethic. Duties and Responsibilities • Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job function of this position. • Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety rules and regulations; communicate any issues in a timely manner. • Testing of product, recording, and communicating results to ensure required quality standards. • Ensure proper stacking of finished product cases in required pallet footprint. • Ensure proper packaging materials are utilized according to production schedule. • Follow direction of Winder Operator, cross train for Winder Assistant position. Ability to fill in for Winder Assistant when absent. • Learning the mechanics of the case packer to adjust as needed. • Ensure minimum product waste and maintain neat and clean work area. • Adhere to company policies and procedures. • Other reasonable duties, as assigned, include assisting other lines as required.
