The Direct-to-Consumer Email Marketing Manager plays a pivotal role in engaging and retaining customers across six direct-to-consumer brands, including e-commerce and subscription-based brands. With a deep understanding of the customer lifecycle, you will be responsible for creating 20-30 engaging email and SMS campaigns per week that drive conversions, customer engagement, and brand loyalty. This role requires a combination of collaboration, strategic thinking, creativity, technical proficiency, and analytical skills to achieve desired outcomes. Responsibilities

Email and SMS Campaign Creation

  • Develop and design email templates and SMS messages with a clear focus on driving customer conversion, engagement, and retention.
  • Guarantee that all emails feature visually appealing designs, compelling copy that aligns with campaign objectives, and are optimized for mobile responsiveness.
  • Provide meticulous attention to detail in all tasks and consistently deliver high-quality work with minimal errors

Testing and Optimization

  • Set up A/B tests to optimize subject lines, content, and sending times, as well as communicate these test results to stakeholders.
  • Monitor email performance metrics, including open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates, and unsubscribe rates.
  • Continuously analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Make data-driven decisions to optimize email campaigns for better results.

Collaboration

  • Work closely with the design and brand teams for email template creation.
  • Collaborate with platform team and brand teams to align email content with overall marketing initiatives.
  • Coordinate with other marketing channels and publishing imprints for cross-channel campaigns.

Qualifications

Work Experience:

  • 3 years of general digital marketing experience, with at least 1 year of experience in email marketing
  • Ecommerce experience required
  • Familiarity with developing customer segmentation strategies.
  • Familiarity with A/B testing and using data to inform marketing decisions.
  • Experience working directly in ESPs to create and deploy email templates; SailThru experience a plus.
  • Experience working in Shopify a plus.
  • Experience in working with copywriters and creative team members and creating an effective feedback loop.
  • Experience navigating legal compliance with CAN-SPAM and CASL, and similar regulations.

Education: Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience) Required

Knowledge:

  • Understand customer segmentation and email marketing best practices.
  • Understand direct-to-consumer eCommerce, retention marketing trends, and Email/CRM technologies
  • Email and SMS marketing regulations (e.g., CAN-SPAM)

Skills:

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Creative problem solver, with strong attention to detail required
  • Agile mindset, with the ability to pivot calendars, strategies and plans to ensure relevance and resonance.
  • Understand email best practices to be able to give feedback to copywriters, recommend subject line tests and optimizations, etc.

The salary range for this position is $52,000-$75,000. We recognize that attracting the best talent is key to our strategy and success as a company. As a result, we aim for flexibility in structuring competitive compensation offers to ensure we are able to attract the best candidates. The quoted salary range represents our good faith estimate as to what our ideal candidates are likely to expect, and we tailor our offers within the range based on the selected candidate's experience, industry knowledge, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the interview process.
