Keith Zars Pools, Ltd., the "Best-in-Class" residential and commercial pool builder in Texas, is currently seeking a skilled CDL Driver, Dump Truck or Concrete Mixer with a passion for delivering our legendary excellence in customer service!
TheCDL Driver, Dump Truck or Concrete Mixeris responsible for operating trucks to transport dirt, aggregate, asphalt, and other materials and/or equipment to various job site locations. The Driver will also work in the yard area to stockpile and move materials as needed. In addition to your hauling duties, you must inspect your truck for any damage or general mechanical issues.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
· End Dump/Dump Truck Operation to include:
o assisting ground crew while waiting for the next load/assignment
o assisting in the loading of materials in the truck
o cleaning and maintaining an assigned truck
o driving a dump truck to material pick up location
o dumping the contents of your vehicle in various assigned locations
o hauling materials to and from construction sites
o maintaining proper information in the truck cab and performing daily housekeeping tasks in cab of the truck
o performing daily pre and post-trip inspections on assigned vehicles; reporting any repairs to Fleet Maintenance/Management team (s)
· Concrete Mix Truck Operation to include:
o adding enhanced supplies, such as fibers, accelerators, color etc to mix as needed.
o adjusting moisture to contractor’s requirements and note changes made to the product and any weather and environmental conditions on the load ticket for quality assurance.
o assembling cement chutes as needed
o cleaning and maintaining an assigned truck
o ensuring concrete arrives with proper slump to every delivery
o ensuring proper use of truck tracking software and reporting any malfunctions
o maintaining proper information in the truck cab and performing daily housekeeping tasks in cab of truck
o operating truck equipped with auxiliary concrete mixer to deliver concrete mix to job sites
o performing daily pre and post trip inspections on assigned vehicle; reporting any repairs to Fleet Maintenance/Management team (s)
o preventing concrete from hardening in mixer by using water hose and chute scraper; spraying surfaces on truck with protective compound to prevent concrete from sticking
· Maneuvering the truck under loading hopper and ensuring all materials can be loaded properly without any waste
· Operating a variety of trucks including ready mix, septic, block and aggregate materials.
This position requires timely and regular attendance and flexibility to work day/night shifts including weekends with occasional overtime.
QUALIFICATIONS
Licenses/Certifications
· Valid, clean and active CDL B or higher driver’s license
· Current Medical DOT Card
Education
· High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience
• 3 years of CDL B or higher driving Experience
Other Requirements
· Must pass a criminal background check, pre-employment drug test/ DOT physical and functional exam
· Must be insurable by Keith Zars Pools Fleet Insurance Carrier standards
Knowledge of:
· DOT, OSHA, EPA, DNR and MSHA regulations
· Federal, State, and Local Safety environmental compliance laws/regulations
Skilled in:
· Safe operation of trucks when releasing concrete down chute into pump, wheelbarrow or other conveying container or area where direct pour is needed
• Strong work ethic with excellent attendance
Ability to:
· Complete and submit accurate daily time cards and additional required paperwork
· Consistently meet delivery expectations of the customer
· Display a professional and courteous attitude towards all team members and customers.
· Establish and maintain contact with customers while on job sites and secure signatures on all invoices
· Learn and demonstrate competency in required regulations and training
· Maneuver in and out of the truck safely
· Read and follow directions to deliver concrete to locations given by dispatch
· Recognize surroundings and practice traffic awareness to maintain a safe environment
· Work efficiently with minimal supervision
