ABOUT THE POSITION

Although we're an apparel and footwear-focused company, technology is central to everything we do. Columbia Digital Technology (CDT) teams enable digital solutions across four global brands, a global supply chain, and 500+ geographically dispersed stores. These teams support across a range of platforms and services to enhance the consumer experience in an ever-evolving industry.

With a balance of technical skills and business knowledge, the Business Systems Analyst (BSA) plays a key role as a technical liaison between business stakeholders, product owners, engineers, and architects. The BSA understands the needs and goals of the business and can work at every level to find solutions and document their findings in high quality technical documents and actionable tasks. The BSA is also passionate about technology and driven to use every tool at their disposal to find ways we can improve - both our systems and our business processes.

HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT

• Discover, document, plan, and communicate features and improvements that integrate seamlessly with our eCommerce platform by utilizing industry standards and best practices
• Work closely with business and development teams to absorb, document and design system level work components that will meet current and future project goals
• Act as a communication vehicle to provide results from our development team's rapid prototyping and proof-of-concept solutions to business product owners
• Calculate the cost-effectiveness of changes to our eCommerce platform and underlying systems
• Train team-members and business stakeholders on new procedures and strategies
• Evaluate systems, analyze data, and solicit feedback to identify opportunities for improvement of our technology stack
• Research 3rd party APIs and document integration specifications
• Partner with business and technology teams to vet 3rd party libraries
• Be flexible to changing priorities to accommodate the changing needs of our business
• Performs other duties as assigned

YOU ARE

• A strong communicator that can demonstrate an ability to work with all ranges of an organization to advance Columbia's vision for enterprise data and analytics
• Able to work and collaborate with cross functional teams, including IT, and manage partner expectations
• Able to evaluate processes and drive improvement
• Able to influence without direct authority
• Able to foster new ideas and concepts and make decisions surrounding complex issues

YOU HAVE

• Bachelor's degree in computer information sciences or equivalent experience is required
• 2-4 years of professional experience is required acting in the role of a business systems analyst
• 1-2 years of professional experience writing technical documentation that includes UML, business process modeling (BPM), and data/system flow diagrams (DFD)
• 1-2 years working in an agile development environment
• 1-2 years of experience working with scalable distributed cloud-based applications
• 1-2 years' experience with eCommerce platforms (e.g., Salesforce Commerce Cloud, SAP Hybris, Oracle Commerce, Magento, WebSphere Commerce) a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication, organization, analytical, planning and leadership skills
• Strong attention to detail and quality of deliverables
• Experience documenting functional requirements, user stories, and technical specifications
• Strong, passionate problem solver skills and can tackle large tasks ,document the requirements for others to consume, without requiring direct supervision
