EDI Technical Specialist

Duties and Responsibilities:

• This position will be primarily responsible for new development certification efforts with our vendors, HIE's, and Client Proprietary.
• As part of this position, the analyst will provide technical support to project team members and participate in all related project discussions.
• Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and requirements and delivers quality certified interfaces for Labcorp.
• Create and maintain certification test plans along with presenting teams with weekly status on certification progress.
• Manage certification data and perform data analysis: define, maintain, and organize data as it relates to heath code level 7 (HL7) versions 2.3 and 2.5 - LRI Meaningful Use, 2D barcodes, medical requisitions, and patient result reports.
• Review and verify requirements, ensuring project deliverables pass a stringent set of QA criteria and comply with the requirements prior to certification.
• Compare the data from clients and vendors to the Labcorp Specifications and the CAP / CLIA government regulations for an electronic order and results interface with a Lab Company.
• Learn and recite interface specifications to clients and vendors, with exceptional documentation and organizational skills.
• Major duties may include reviewing new development life cycle, training, and establishing that industry standards are adhered to, resolving issues, supporting our internal clients, Divisions and maintaining a collaborative relationship with the other departments within Client Connectivity.
• Other duties may also include establishing & monitoring the processes and roll out of key features across Labcorp corporate and divisions.
• Other duties may be assigned:
• Assist with developing new development certification processes and procedures.
• Proactively review processes and collaborate across teams.
• Knowledge of all functions relating new development, including Labcorp downstream processes.
• Establish and manage the maintenance of New Development Policies and Procedures.

Requirements:

• 3 plus years in role with Healthcare, IT, or related field, including 2 years vendor management or customer service experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Previous Labcorp experience within IT operations is required.
• Strong industry knowledge is required.
• Demonstrated operational process development/analysis experience, with audit/consulting experience being a plus.
• The ideal candidate must have strong detail orientation, with proven analytical, organizational and project management skills, coupled with the ability to communicate, both written and oral, effectively with all levels of management.
• They need to possess good teamwork skills and show the ability to build relationships with both internal and external business partners.
• Finally, they must be PC proficient with moderate to advanced Microsoft Office skills - Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. OneNote is a tool that is used daily.
