In this role, you will report to the Associate Editorial Director of Special Projects and work closely with editorial team members to produce awards and accolades programs, data journalism, sponsored point-of-care publications, digital issues, events, and more. In this role, you will also interact regularly with shared teams including product, design, and more. Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment is a must.
About Your Contributions:

  • Help organize the editorial and creative planning for all special projects-from awards and accolades to digital issues to data journalism and more-assisting in the alignment of responsibilities of editorial, design, and product partners.
  • Collaborate with editorial team members in brainstorming, assigning, and producing special projects that require content creation and curation.
  • Work with the Health Group communications team to support earned media opportunities for our Editor-in-Chief.
  • Help create new editions of Parents Health Guides, sponsored point-of-care publications that drive revenue back to the brand, by managing processes, editorial planning, and a small team of contributors.
  • Organize, track, and update all details of each special project to ensure all stakeholders have transparency into processes, budget, and progress and that all contributors from shared teams are accountable for tasks that will meet established timelines.

About You:
  • 3-5 years of experience writing, editing, and publishing digital content, ideally with a focus on parenting, health, or lifestyle content

  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills, organizational and project management skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven with proven experience of working with editorial calendars and reaching production goals
  • Highly creative storyteller with an eye for user-first digital content and the ability to talk through visual concepts with product and design counterparts
  • Proactive, flexible, and enthusiastic team player with strong interpersonal communication skills, cultural competence, and the ability to partner with others with empathy and shared motivation
  • Experience using digital publishing tools like content management systems, as well as organizational and task management tools like Google Sheets and Airtable
