We are looking for a future caregiver to take on the role of a Education Senior Database Developer within our world-class team of caregivers. Within this role, you will lead the full life cycle of very large databases and/or datamarts including requirements analysis, design, architecture, development, and deployment of multi-million-row database applications, new features, and the correction of defects. Delivers ongoing data loading and reconciliation, customer support, technical troubleshooting, and maintenance of developed database software. Design, develop, and maintain a multitude of complex relational database reports. Performs quality assurance role. Prepares appropriate design and deployment artifacts per the standard development methodology. Leads and mentors others in the creation and use of standards for very large database development.

Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Conducts and mentors others in the full life cycle of very large database and datamart systems.
- Provides requirements analysis and data modeling.
- Designs system workflow, architecture to meet business requirements.
- Develops all database objects and deploys new database applications utilizing the Cleveland Clinic development methodology and tools.
- Independently maps out, plans and performs ongoing administration of database and datamart software including data loading and reconciliation, analysis of data anomalies with business customers.
- Provides new feature enhancements, education and training, monitoring and optimization, technical support, and database maintenance.
- Architects, designs, develops, and maintains a multitude of complex relational database reports supporting executive dashboards, ongoing operations analysis, management decisions, process and quality improvement, and business partner negotiations.
- Performs quality assurance role for complex and sensitive database application features developed by others including preparing and executing test plans, logging defects, and retesting corrected defects to validate feature integrity, accuracy, and completeness prior to customer deployment.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Finance, a related discipline or equivalent professional experience.
Certifications:
- Microsoft DBA certification preferred.
Complexity of Work:
- Experience must demonstrate that incumbent is a subject matter expert in multi-faceted and complex design concepts and methodologies such as entity relationship diagrams and object models as well as proficiency in listening to customer requirements and architecting database solutions to meet business requirements.
- Must have demonstrated ability to independently architect, plan, construct, and execute a successful implementation using industry-standard disciplines.
Work Experience:
- Minimum five years of experience in the full life cycle of designing and developing very large databases, datamarts and/or data warehouse applications using Cleveland Clinic standard development tools including current Microsoft development environments and relational database management systems such as SQL Server, Visual Studio, Enterprise Manager, Analysis Services, Integration Services, etc.
- Must have expertise in sophisticated relational database report design, development, and maintenance using Cleveland Clinic standard relational database reporting tools such as Microsoft Access, Reporting Services, and/or Business Objects.
- Preferred Qualifications:
Understanding of database and .NET environments
Knowledge of project management skills
Teradata Database
Tableau
ETL processes
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.
- Ability to travel throughout the hospital system.
- Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment.
- Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
