Summary
This position is part of the National Archives and Records Administration. The team of nationally recognized educators is dedicated to partnering with educational institutions for the success of students. As part of the National Archives, the Truman Library offers authentic educational experiences that meet state and national standards while helping students gain a deeper understanding of our nation's history, government, and democratic ideals.

The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
To qualify for this position at the GS-11 level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience must include.
- Designing and facilitating professional development programs for educators at the K-16 level that includes best practices for integrating primary resources and archival material into classroom instruction; AND
- Creating educational curriculum that integrates primary resources and archival materials for students at the K-16 level; AND
- Leading volunteers, interns, or non-paid staff in the performance of presenting educational material.
- 3 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree;
- A combination of education and experience: Graduate level education in excess of the first two years (36 hours or more) can be combined to meet the experience. One year of full-time graduate education is considered 18 semester hours. Example: Six-months of appropriate specialized experience equivalent to GS-9 and 36 semester hours of appropriate education, equal 100% qualifying experience.
Education
Education Requirements: The education generally must be from an accredited (or pre-accredited) college or university recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
Basic Education Requirement:
1. Degree: that included or was supplemented by major study in education or in a subject-matter field appropriate to the position.
OR
2. Combination of education and experience -- courses equivalent to a major in education, or in a subject-matter field appropriate to the position, plus appropriate experience or additional course work that provided knowledge comparable to that normally acquired through the successful completion of the 4-year course of study described above.
