Job Summary:
Are you an experienced and skilled electric skateboard technician? Do you have a passion for making things work and maximizing the fun factor? We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our mechanic team, where you will primarily focus on electric skateboards and some bikes. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that every board or bike that comes into our shop is performing at its peak condition. We value fun-loving people who can share their hobbies, excitement, and adventurous experiences with us. If you're up for the challenge, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities and Duties:
• Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and in-person, addressing warranty, non-warranty, and general questions.
• Provide accurate estimates for customer needs.
• Service electric skateboards for customers.
• Coordinate the procurement of parts required for scheduled service work.
• Assemble and perform quality control on new products for resale.
• Troubleshoot, advise, and resolve any board-related issues or questions.
• Ensure all boards and bikes on-site are operating at their highest capacity.
• Engage with the community by organizing group rides and events.
• Love what you do, have fun, and share your mechanical expertise as a valuable member of our strong team.
Qualifications and Skills:
• General experience in mechanical systems, maintenance, repair, and assembly of electric skateboards.
• Broad understanding of tools, board parts, BMS, batteries, ESC, motors, grip tape application, wheel changes, and adapters.
• Ability to handle in-store sales, including assisting potential customers, facilitating test rides, and managing board rentals.
• Excellent phone and written communication skills.
• Collaborative team player with a proactive mindset to continuously improve,optimize, and exceed customer expectations.
• Strong work ethic with a sense of pride in your craftsmanship.
• Organized, respectful, and skilled in customer interactions.
Job Type:Part-Time (to start)
Salary:Based on Experience (BOE)

Ability to commute/relocate:
• Must be able to reliably commute to San Diego, CA 92117 or plan to relocate before starting work (Required)
