Electrical and Automation Controls Engineer

Summary We are seeking an Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team at Power Parts International. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing and implementing automation solutions that enhance customers manufacturing processes and our product offerings. Your expertise will directly contribute to our mission of delivering high-quality, reliable power supply and material handling systems. Responsibilities • Design and Development:Creating electrical schematics, control panel layouts, and PLC/HMI programs. • System Integration:Integrating various automation components like robots, sensors, and drives. • Testing and Commissioning:Conducting functional tests, debugging, and troubleshooting systems. • Technical Support:Providing support to other engineers and technicians during implementation and maintenance. • Project Management:Managing projects from concept to completion, including budgeting and scheduling. • Documentation:Creating and maintaining technical documentation for control systems. • Staying Updated:Keeping abreast of industry standards, safety regulations, and new automation technologies. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. • Proficiency in CAD software; experience with SolidWorks is a plus. • Strong understanding of PLC programing • Experience with electrical engineering principles and practices. • Familiarity with project scheduling tools and methodologies is preferred. • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
