Overview:The Electrical Program Director will lead the development and early-stage implementation of a new Electrical Trade Career Development Program designed to produce job-ready graduates. This position will be instrumental in creating a field-focused curriculum, developing hands-on lab infrastructure, designing digital online programs and learning experiences, and preparing for the eventual hiring of a full-time director. The position also requires participation in our TradeReady career development prep program geared for High School students preparing to enter the trade workforce. This program will require hands-on activities created focused on electrical related learning objectives. Additionally, online education offerings are to be created, implemented and continuously improved over time to engage industry leading online offerings related to electrical training. The role is ideal for a licensed Master Electrician or electrical educator who thrives in program development, instructional design, and workforce training environments. Key Responsibilities: -Design and structure a comprehensive Electrical Trade Career Development Program aligned with national and state workforce readiness standards. Residential and commercial wiring, circuit breakers and panelboard installation, conduit bending and raceway systems, grounding and bonding, motor controls, lighting systems, NEC code application, electrical troubleshooting and test instruments, safety and OSHA 10/30 training -Define course pathways, syllabi, and certification objectives that prepare students to enter the electrical workforce directly. -Lead the design of a 1,500 sq. ft. workshop/lab, specifying layout, required simulators, tools, safety protocols, and functional training stations. -Maintain and regularly update the curriculum to keep pace with changes in NEC codes and technology. -Ensure training labs and course materials are prepared and aligned with course schedules. -Emphasize safety, industry standards, and hands-on competencies during instruction. -Assess student knowledge and skills through written and practical evaluations. -Design and advise on development of online modules and simulations for theory-based instruction compatible with remote learners. -Assist in selection or creation of digital content, videos, quizzes, and LMS-integrated activities to supplement hands-on coursework. -Ensure online content aligns with instructional goals and offers effective learning pathways for hybrid and asynchronous students. Requirements: -Minimum of 5 years of technical training experience in the electrical field. -Master Electrician License required. -At least 5 years of practical field experience in electrical installation, maintenance, or service. -Strong communication and presentation skills, both oral and written. -Strong organizational skills with attention to documentation and instructional planning.
