Since 1951, Hurst Electric has been a premier provider of large-scale electrical construction services across the DFW Metroplex. As a family-owned and operated company with over 70 years of experience, we take pride in delivering top-tier electrical contracting solutions. We are seeking a skilled Electrical Journeyman to oversee large commercial and industrial warehouse projects from start to finish.
We have expanded to the Central TX market servicing Austin TX with projects in surrounding towns like Georgetown, Round Rock, Hutto & Belton Texas. You will need to travel to projects as needed. Ideal candidates should be centrally located to this area.
In-person Interview required with our Central TX superintendent held at the job site.

What You’ll Do:
✅ Manage all aspects of electrical installation on assigned projects
✅ Coordinate with general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and city officials
✅ Attend project-related meetings and represent Hurst Electric professionally
✅ Ensure all work meets NEC codes, project specifications, and safety regulations
✅ Oversee teams of journeyman and apprentice electricians (3 to 30+ employees)
✅ Monitor project schedule to ensure on-time, cost-effective completion
✅ Maintain job site safety, compliance, and OSHA standards
✅ Order and manage materials and equipment for assigned projects
✅ Foster strong working relationships and maintain team morale
What We’re Looking For:
• Experience: Proven track record in electrical construction for large-scale commercial or industrial construction
• Leadership: Ability to manage teams, enforce safety, and drive project success
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of NEC codes, blueprint reading, and construction best practices
• Communication: Excellent coordination and relationship-building skills with contractors, suppliers, and inspectors
• Problem-Solving: Ability to handle challenges, make critical decisions, and keep projects on track
