We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Electrician to join our maintenance team and ensure the safety and functionality of our properties.Position Overview As our Electrician, you will be the go-to expert for all electrical systems across our properties. This is a dynamic, hands-on role where you'll apply your specialized electrical skills to troubleshoot, repair, and install systems, while also contributing to the overall maintenance and upkeep of our communities. You will be a vital part of the team that keeps our residential and commercial properties safe and in excellent condition.This position is part of the on-call rotation for after-hours maintenance emergencies.Key Responsibilities • Electrical Expertise:Perform advanced electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on residential and commercial systems, including wiring, fixtures, panels, and appliances. • Installation & Projects:Install new electrical systems, circuits, and components as part of unit turnovers, renovations, and capital improvement projects. • General Maintenance Support:Lend your technical skills to assist the maintenance team with general repairs in areas like HVAC and plumbing when needed. • Safety & Compliance:Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures, and ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local regulations.Qualifications Required: • 3-5 years of professional experience as an electrician, preferably in a residential or commercial maintenance environment. • Demonstrated expertise in advanced electrical troubleshooting, repair, and installation. • A valid Driver's License. • Ability to distinguish between colors to safely identify electrical wiring. • Ability to participate in a rotating on-call schedule. Preferred: • A state-issued Journeyman Electrician license is highly preferred. • Technical certifications in electrical systems. • Experience in general property maintenance (HVAC, plumbing).Why Join the Westland Team?
