Electrician Apprentice

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Apprentice Electrician to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the electrical field while working under the guidance of experienced electricians. The Apprentice Electrician will assist in various electrical tasks on commercial and industrial construction sites, learning essential skills and techniques necessary for a successful career in electrical work. Responsibilities • Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings. • Work with experienced electricians to learn and apply knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) standards. • Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete tasks. • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand project requirements. • Participate in low voltage and high voltage electrical installations under supervision. • Conduct tests using an ohmmeter and other testing equipment to ensure system functionality. • Maintain a clean and organized work environment on construction sites. • Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all team members. Requirements • Previous experience as an industrial or commercial electrician is preferred but not required. • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic electrical equipment is essential. • Understanding of low voltage and high voltage systems is a plus. • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documents effectively. • Experience on construction sites is highly desirable. • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety practices. • Willingness to learn from experienced electricians and take direction as needed. • Basic knowledge of frame carpentry can be beneficial for certain projects.
