Electrician

Our current project, Home at Maricopa, is a 536 Unit Multi-family community with 6 apartment buildings and a clubhouse on 18.8 acres in the City of Maricopa. The apartment buildings are 4 and 5 story concrete and steel construction buildings. This position is for our jobsite in Maricopa, Arizona Duties/Responsibilities: 1. Specialized training in MCC installations and switchgear. 2. Hands-on Experience**: • 4 years of experience in electrical work, specifically in MCC and switchgear installation. • Familiarity with torquing and testing procedures. • Experience with generator installations, including testing and commissioning. 3. **Technical Skills**: • Proficient in power and control wiring. • Skilled in installing and testing electrical systems, including: • Continuity testing. • Megger testing (insulation resistance testing). • Knowledge in installing and bending EMT (Electrical Metallic Tubing) or rigid conduit. 4. **Knowledge of Equipment and Standards**: • Understanding of electrical codes and safety regulations. • Familiarity with industry standards related to MCCs, switchgear, and generators. • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and reports. 5. **Testing and Commissioning**: • Experience in the commissioning of electrical installations, ensuring systems meet performance requirements. • Ability to perform thorough testing of installations and troubleshoot any issues. 6. **Soft Skills**: • Strong problem-solving abilities. • Good communication skills, necessary for working with teams and clients. • Attention to detail to ensure quality installations and safe practices. Physical Requirements: • Ability to handle physical labor and strenuous tasks. • Able to stand and walk the project site for an extended period of time. • Regularly talk and/or hear. • Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel. • Occasionally required to but not limited to reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop kneel, crouch, and/or crawl. • Must be able to ascend and descend ladders, scaffolds, and stairs and work in confined spaces and in proximity to loud equipment. • Must be able to position oneself to work in confined spaces such as trenches, pits, manholes, attics, and tunnels. • Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move at least 50 pounds regularly/occasionally • Must be able to respond quickly to sounds. • Must be able to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces. • Must be able to see and respond to dangerous situations. • Must be able to safely climb ladders while carrying up to 40 pounds. • Must be able to wear personal protective gear most of the day. • Must be able to work in hot and cold environments.
