Electrician/Technical Support Representative
We seek a certified electrician to monitor, diagnose, and troubleshoot incoming issues with Elite’s product. The employee will primarily perform these tasks over the phone and email, some jobsite visits may be required. Employee must be familiar with all types of lighting, (especially LED lighting) as well as be familiar with electrical infrastructure.
Responsibilitiesare included but not limited to:
• Monitor, diagnose, and troubleshoot all electrical systems and products over the phone and by email.
• Perform all work to industry standards and maintain a professional manner and appearance
• Communicate with customers professionally and politely.
• Handle all emails and calls on a daily basis, prioritizing urgent requests (those with strict job deadlines).
• Use CALL.E to enter and track all pending customer issues.
• Complete all troubleshooting jobs, installations, repairs and maintenance task assigned in a timely manner.
• Continually develop and make suggestions on how to upgrade products, dimming options, and literature.
• Provide positive and prompt response to requests from customers
• Maintain tools, parts equipment and supplies in clean and safe condition
• Comply with all policies and procedures (e.g. customer service, safety, usage and handling of hazardous or restricted material)
• Maintain records for work assigned, jobs addressed, and work completed in a neat and organized manner
• Light commercial and industrial electrical work
Qualifications:
• Minimum of five years’ experience in general electrical service work (residential and/or commercial, retail) preferred.
• Engineering background preferred.
• Must hold Electrical License and/or Certification
• Must have some field installation experience.
• Computer skills and the ability to monitor, navigate and utilize equipment operating systems.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to read and understand schematic, electrical, mechanical, and architectural drawings.
• Ability to completely install a project based off from an engineered design.
• Above average knowledge of electrical systems and components.
• Ability to lift product up to 51 LBS, repeatedly and continuously throughout the day.
• Ability to work in closed spaces such as closets, crawl spaces, attics, mechanical rooms, etc.
• Ability to work from heights if needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
Physical Activities of the Position:
• Position requires frequent standing, lifting, bending, and walking in order to move heavy product from/to different locations through the assembly department.
• Position may include some twisting, turning, stooping, pushing, pulling, squatting, reaching above the shoulder, and other physical movements to reach a few products on occasion.
• The temperature of the warehouse changes with the changing weather.
