Electromechanics, Principal Technical Expert

Design Engineer - Electromechanical will contribute to the design, manufacturing, test, support activities for the development of new offers or evolution of existing offers.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide high level of engineering support for Schneider Electric standard products.

• Electromechanical will contribute to the design, manufacturing, test, support activities for the development of new offers or evolution of existing offers.

• Understand products through design, specification, applicable standards, configuration, application, operations, management, drawings, etc

• Create total Bill of Material as per the design and develop drawing.

• Provide technical support test and certification requirements.

• Participate in new product development process to make sure that the product by following Agile/PMP/ PEP process.

• Understand the application representation needs from the Product Owner.

Domain Experience

• Strong knowledge on sheet metal, pro/cabling, drawings

• Hand's on experience in electromechanical product design.

• Working experience and understanding of Sheet metal processes, coatings.

• Design experience on PCB's with ECAD-MCAD interactions

• Experience in design and selection of wire harness, connectors, glands.

• Understanding of manufacturing process for parts/assemblies using sheet metal forming, injection moulding, die-cast.

• Tolerance stack-up analysis and knowledge of ASME Y14.5 Dimensioning, Tolerancing and Engineering Drawing Practices.

• Knowledge of UL/IEC/NEC standards related to electrical cables, enclosures, conduits are preferred.

• Drafting standards (electrical & mechanical) for various regions for worldwide customers.

• Ability to interpret the technical specifications and application limitations/constraints of various products and translate into meaningful representations.

Expertise in Design tools (must)

• Pro-E (creo-2 or higher version/s)

• Solidworks 2016 or higher version/s

• Simulation Tool experience on Creo Simulate .

• AutoCAD 2020

Education & Experience

B.E/BTech in Mechanical - with 17 to 18 years' experience

Communication Skill : Professional communication skill (English) in written and oral is a must.
