Elementary Music Teacher (Part Time MWF)

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Elementary School Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment and promoting the academic, social, and emotional development of students. This role involves developing and implementing engaging lesson plans, managing classroom dynamics, and collaborating with parents and staff to ensure each child's success. Responsibilities • Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with curriculum standards in subjects such as literacy education, math, and physical education. • Utilize effective classroom management techniques to create a safe and productive learning environment. • Provide individualized support to students, including those with special needs or autism, through tailored instruction and behavior management strategies. • Assess student progress through standardized testing and ongoing evaluations, adjusting teaching methods as necessary. • Mentor students in their academic journey while fostering their personal growth and development. • Incorporate learning technology into lessons to enhance student engagement and understanding. • Collaborate with fellow educators to develop curriculum materials that meet diverse learning needs. • Maintain open communication with parents regarding student performance, behavior, and classroom activities. • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices and innovations. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field; teaching certification preferred. • Proven experience working with children in an educational setting, including classroom experience or private school experience. • Strong skills in lesson planning, curriculum development, proofreading, writing, and communication. • Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development theories. • Experience in tutoring or providing additional support for students who require extra assistance. • Familiarity with library services and resources available for enhancing student learning experiences. • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues while demonstrating strong interpersonal skills. • A commitment to fostering an inclusive environment for all students, including those requiring early intervention strategies.
