EMERGENCY PHYSICIAN – Watauga ED – BOONE, NC
Join Wake Forest Emergency Providers as an Emergency Physician in Boone, North Carolina—part of Advocate Health, one of the largest nonprofit integrated health systems in the country.
Wake Forest Emergency Providers, affiliated with Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist and Wake Forest School of Medicine, delivers high-quality emergency care across Hospital Emergency Departments and Free-Standing Emergency Departments throughout the Greater Charlotte Market and Central and Northwest North Carolina. Our physicians practice in settings that offer a strong sense of community and teamwork, while benefiting from the clinical resources, academic collaboration, and innovation of a leading nonprofit health system.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Watauga Medical Center Emergency Department and Cannon Memorial Hospital Emergency Department (critical access hospital)
- 8-9-hour shifts w/ Physician-led scheduling (12-hour shifts at CMH)
- Compensation range: $210-230+/hr
- 117 bed hospital w/ 20 ED beds and critical access hospital with 10 ED beds/10 inpatient beds
- Annual ED visits: 25,000 at main site and 8,500 visits at critical access site
- Team of 7 full-time physicians and 2 full-time APPs
- OB, Hospitalists and Pediatrics in house 24/7
- Surgery and Ortho coverage 24/7
- Cardiology, PCI & STEMI coverage 24/7
- ENT, GI, Oncology, Neurology, Ophthalmology, Urology, Radiology and Palliative on-call
- EPIC EMR

TRAINING AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Emergency Medicine Board Certified / Board Eligible
North Carolina Medical License (or eligibility)
