Job Summary
Lead employee communications and engagement processes and activities across GKN Aerospace El Cajon and Mexicali sites. Develop, plan, implement and manage internal communications, assisting in the achievement of strategic objectives and helping to promote employee engagement across the business. Create a communication plan and strategy that will keep employees engaged, recognized, and informed, uniting various group leaders, departments team and executives to a single message.
Job Responsibilities
• Lead all employee engagement activities, annual EngageMe Employee Survey to include managing logistical arrangements and producing newsletters and actions plans to improve staff satisfaction and morale across the business.
• Lead for managing the internal communication process across the sites to support with key strategic activities including development and roll out of site Business plans/ large projects.
• Manage all internal communication processes and outputs by producing written and visual communication material on a regular basis (e.g. magazine, presentations, newsletters, site notice boards, IT-based, multimedia material, quarterly leadership forums and monthly Site Director highlight reports.)
• Work with the Web and Online Systems Technician and Global Engines Marketing to ensure we have the digital communication platforms required to deliver outstanding internal communications.
• Work with the Global Engines Marketing to provide local input to Global Marketing and Comms strategy with a tactical plan for aligning the internal and external branding activities
• Deliver processes to measure the effectiveness of engagement activities and the morale of the workforce so that the leaders can take appropriate action to improve.
• Development and management of employee engagement programs including employee events (on and off site) and recognition programs.
• Assist with HR tasks as needed.
Job Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor Degree in Communications, Business Administration or relevant curriculum. OR 4+ years of internal / external communications and/or media experiencePreferred Qualifications:
• Relevant professional qualification or training
• Public relations, communications experience
• Experience working with employee engagement programs
• Strong executive level communication, presentation, and writing skills
Compensation Range
The compensation range for this position is between $92,000 - $105,000.
