Role : India Employment Counsel

Exp - 4- 8 Yrs

Location - Bangalore

We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Employment Counsel to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will provide expert legal advice and guidance on a wide range of employment law matters. They will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with labor regulations and fostering a positive work environment for our employees. This position offers an opportunity to work closely with various departments within the organization and contribute to the company's strategic initiatives.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

  • Employment Advisory: Advise internal stakeholders on day-to-day and out of the ordinary employee-related matters. This may include matters pertaining to disciplinary, behavioural, performance issues.
  • Work with internal teams such as HR, Compensation, Talent Acquisition in formulating, reviewing, revising policies, conducting training in accordance with the law.
  • Employment Litigation & Legal notice: Liase with external counsel on litigation pertaining to employees and to strategize with the counsel to obtain the best possible outcome for Wipro.
  • Employment Conciliation: Own employee conciliations before the Labour authorities (this includes formulating an appropriate response for the labour authorities)
  • Compliance with Labour Laws: Ensure that the company and vendor is aligned with the applicable labour laws and advise on matters such as CLRA, PF, EPS, Minimum Wages, etc.
  • Should be willing to travel: Work includes travelling across PAN India locations.
