About us
Massage Heights Encinitas Marketplace is a brand new location which has now officially opened. It is a rebuild and relocation from an previous location only across the street from when it opened in 2013. It was closed due to significant water damage in 2020. All of those members are waiting anxiously for 4 years for the store to reopen. We expect hundreds of old members to come back, return, and get settled in to a brand new Retreat.
Massage Heights Encinitas Marketplace is owned by Mitchell and Debbie Simon. They own 4 other Massage Heights in California: Carmel Valley (San Diego), Chino Hills, Irvine, and Novato (San Francisco). They started with Massage Heights in 2013 and are one of the largest franchisee's in the Massage Heights system.
With about 80 - 100 employees working at the various locations, they are very experienced in helping our customers with over 40,000 services performed by our employees each year. Because of our size everything is managed at a professional level. While we work with each of our employees as a family business, we serve our employees as professionals and offer some of the best benefits available today.

Please note that we are looking for employees that may work at 2 locations. Either Carmel Valley or Encinitas. So, you may start in Encinitas and then possibly work at both locations. You can always chose to stay in Encinitas, but if you need more hours, then Carmel Valley may help with that.
We are looking for a variety of shifts. You must be able to work at least 24 hours/week overall. But, the specific shifts will vary. So, we need someone that will be flexible and can help fill in shifts as needed. Assume that you will work at least 1 weekend day. Then 2 -3 other shifts which should evolve. Primarily afternoons to evening shifts. It should work out to 24 - 30 hours week.
Compensation: Base Compensation, plus Bonus + Commission and Dental/Vision Base pay
Our Lifestyle Consultants will typically earn $18 -$20 per hour, depending on experience. However, the key difference is our bonus or commission structure is very generous. If you can sell memberships, you can earn anywhere up to $500 each month in both individual and team bonuses. That can boost your hourly rate another $12 - $18/hour over your base pay assuming you are working a full-time schedule.
Key Considerations:
• Typical schedule is 24 – 30 hours per week.
• Must have at least High School Degree, some college is preferred.
• A focus in the health and wellness industry is a plus.
• Some come to us with Esthetician or Cosmetology experience
• Typically you will work a variety of shifts, some opening, some closing.
• Work at one or more of our locations as you prefer. Find the best one for you.
• Complimentary scheduled massage or facial each month.
• Family atmosphere. Owner is always available and actively involved.

Responsibilities and Duties
We are looking for a very experienced sales person for a part-time or full time role with a proven history of selling membership contracts to our guests. This is a brand new location, so you should be very busy signing new memberships.
We expect to have about 300 -500 people that come through our location with about 100 of them brand new to our location. We need to sell them a reason to come back. We are looking for those individuals that enjoy working with people and can relate to our kind of guests/members.
Must be comfortable in selling and convincing the guests why they should come back and buy a membership. Must be comfortable in working with quotas. Our shifts are somewhat flexible. But, we will mostly need help in the afternoon and evenings, plus one day on the weekend.

Responsibilities and Duties
In this position you are responsible for producing consistent monthly sales by enrolling prospective members in our massage wellness programs. This role entails delivering top-notch customer satisfaction in a professional, therapeutic massage/facial environment. Must be able to think on your feet and help guests understand the benefits of massage/facial therapeutic services.
Duties include:
• Manage the customer experience from beginning to end
• Must like to sell and enjoy selling to the public
• Provide excellent service to members/guests
• Maintain high standards for customer service
• Answer phone calls, make appointments, greet members/guests
• Sell retail products and memberships
• Ability to exceed challenging performance goals by converting prospects to members
• Assist in administrative tasks including filing, member maintenance, reminder calls to clients
• Perform data entry for a variety of tasks specifically client records and surveys
• Maintain cleanliness of common areas
• Help to do laundry during busy times.
Qualifications and Skills
• Ability to pass a background check
• COVID-19 vaccinations are a plus, but not required
• Must be able to work the schedule. If you typically call out due to other obligations, please don't apply to this position. It's important that you are able to work your shift.
• History of consistent and extended work experience, with supporting references
• Transportation and a valid Driver's License
• Knowledge of Zenoti is a plus or selling in a retail environment
• HS diploma required. College experience preferred.
