Clarion Events is seeking a passionate Delegate Sales professional to join Clarion Events’ Energy team who will be responsible for selling registration packages to PowerGen International and Hydrovision. This involves prospecting and executing email, LinkedIn and phone outreach. Delegates attend events to bolster their company's profile and visibility, therefore it is a Delegate Sales Manager’s role to engage with clients and make them aware of the benefits of attending a specific conference or event.

Essential Functions:

  • Working with the conference and marketing teams to develop an understanding of the event program
  • Researching attendees and generating attendee leads
  • Reviewing pre-registration on a daily basis and identifying opportunities to upsell to packages
  • Working with the marketing department to convert inbound sales enquiries into registrations
  • Cold calling and messaging to sell to a list of prospective event attendees
  • Securing new delegate registrations and rebooking them from past events
  • Engaging with clients and developing lasting relationships through phone calls and onsite meetings
  • Daily management and maintenance of sales records, updating CRM and ensuring they are kept up to date with attendees, revenue and details
  • Achieving monthly and overall revenue targets
  • Meet weekly KPIs, to be set by management
  • Supporting delegates through the registration process
  • Collecting balances for money owed
  • Providing voice of customer feedback and insights to commercial leaders
  • Maintain premium exhibitor prospect list tracking and communication including recruiting prospects not registered, communicating with registered regarding Premium exhibitor interest in meeting at the event, and sharing tracking with Exhibitor Service Manager
  • Willingness to travel to events and customer site visits

Skills/Experience Required:

  • Prefer previous work at an association or company in the power or energy industry or experience. (Not required)
  • Willingness to travel
  • Ability to make up to 30 calls and 50 emails a day and facilitate 200 connection requests a week using LinkedIn Sales Navigator Advanced
  • Experience with Salesforce is a plus
