Job Description
We are currently looking for an Energy Market Expert to lead renewable energy asset commercialization in ancillary service markets, ensuring seamless coordination between dispatch and trading teams. This role also involves managing existing Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and structuring/negotiating new PPAs in key markets. You will contribute to green and secure energy ecosystem creation by:
- Driving asset and organizational preparation for participation in the balancing market
- Ensuring the compliance of wind, solar parks and BESS to participate in providing ancillary services
- Setting up the framework and organizational procedures between control room (operations) and trading desk (trading)
- Participating in Requests for Proposals (RfP) organised by corporate offtakers or third-party advisors
- Structuring and negotiating PPA and Route-to-market contracts as well as ensure their timely extension
- Contributing towards defining and executing guarantees of origin sale strategy
- Coordinate with compliance team processes to ensure that offtake agreements follow compliance rules (REMIT, EMIR).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- 5 year or longer experience in the energy market or ancillary services fields
- Extensive knowledge of key working principles of electricity markets (ancillary service, spot, futures)
- Expertise in regulatory principles governing energy markets
- Know-how regarding the development trends and future prospects of the energy sector in the context of home markets and Europe
- Very good financial modelling and economic analysis skills
- Have strong ability cooperate with other teams to ensure the right documentation and management of the stakeholder alignment process.
