Job Description

We are looking for a talented individual…​

To join our team as an Energy Technician II. This is a field position and training will be provided. You will travel throughout a defined territory in a company-provided vehicle to job sites and install energy efficiency measures to reduce consumer energy bills for various utility and weatherization programs. There is no overnight travel.

You’re a great fit if you can… ​

• Install energy savings measures including attic insulation (batts and blown), caulking, lightbulbs, showerheads, baseboards, thermostats and electric water heaters

• Perform minor repairs to include windows and doors

• Assist with loading and unloading work trucks

• Ensure measures installed are to program guidelines

• Assist with keeping the job site organized and safe

• Assist with customer site job set up and tear down

Physical requirements:

• Able to work under different weather conditions including extreme hot and cold weather

• Sit, stand, or walk for extended periods of time 

• Crawl, climb, balance, kneel, crouch, or reach often working in crawl spaces and under mobile homes for part of the workday

• Use repetitive hand motion & use of basic hand and power tools

• Use of a ladder at various heights (up to 3 stories)

• Lift, carry or push up to 50 pounds as needed

Exciting candidates have…

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Driver’s License with a clean driving background is an asset

• Basic construction experience required

• Basic residential electrical knowledge is an asset

• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

Targeted Compensation:

$20 - $22 / hour

Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data/ranges, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications (e.g. JD/technology), for example.
